Rapid Handheld Diagnostic Blood Typing and Crossmatching Device
Our MYRIAD technology is a low-power, palm-sized, handheld, optical processing device that uses disposable microfluidic biochips inserted as cartridges. Our device:
- Analyzes blood samples and determines the correct blood type in less than a minute. Current technology takes an average of 30 to 60 minutes to perform complete and blood typing and crossmatching.
- Serves as a safety crosscheck to be used before any blood transfusion to ensure compete accuracy.
- Operates in emergency and mass casualty situations where rapid blood typing capability is critical.
